Albert Oelhen, Junge Wilde

Albert Oehlen (1999) Geschmeidig

Whenever I go to an art fair, I always end up rushing through those huge rooms to get closer to what I spotted as being an “Albert Oehlen”. Here one of my favourites. Albert Oehlen used to be related to the Junge Wilde group (and so is his brother Markus, but that’s another story).

I know what some of you would say, that expressionism is over, vivid colours and wild strokes too. But well, I guess from the non-turn art history is taking the same can be said about minimalism and abstract art. But let’s not get into this debate either, this is not the purpose of a blog.
